Hotel Jnterlaken is a 4-star hotel at Höheweg 74 in the centre of Interlaken, 500 metres or a 5 to 8 minute walk from Interlaken Ost railway station. It is the oldest hotel in Interlaken: it was first recorded as a monastery guesthouse in 1323 and was granted innkeeping rights in 1491. Lord Byron and Felix Mendelssohn stayed here in the 19th century. Today the hotel is owned by the Beutler family, who are also your hosts. The name «Jnterlaken» with a J goes back to an old spelling; the lettering can be seen on the south side of the hotel.

The hotel has 59 four-star rooms in six categories, from Tiny to Family, for 2 to 4 guests; every category is also available with a balcony. Two XL rooms are accessible. Lower-priced Tourist Class rooms are available on the 5th Floor. The breakfast buffet in the Taverne restaurant is included in the room rate.
